Our Wednesday Wandering turned into Traveling Thursday this week.
What started off as a foggy, eerie morning turned into a beautiful sunny day at the beach. The destination is Moody Beach in Wells, Maine.
A little history: We have been coming to southern Maine beaches since before Gerry and I got married. Gerry's uncle and aunt owned a vacation house not far from Long Sands Beach in York, Maine. We would visit them in the summer to celebrate the birthdays of my mother-in-law Marilyn's and her brother Larry. Their birthdays fell 2 days apart so it was nice to be able to celebrate together. We loved the area so much that we continued to make yearly trips up there and we ventured further up the coast to include Ogunquit and Wells.

We walked from our spot to the end of the beach on the Wells end and back, a 3 mile loop. At low tide it is a nice way to get in some exercise while enjoying the beach.

What a difference a few hours makes! |
For dinner we were able to get a last minute reservation at
Walkers Maine in Cape Neddick (aka York). We always have enjoyable meals here and their drinks are really fun. They use fun drinkware for some of their cocktails and as you can see Gerry's drink came in a Batman decorated glass.

We enjoyed our meals so much that we forgot to take pictures. Gerry even braved ice cream for dessert with me. It was a chocolate and peanut butter ice cream sundae that was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend Walkers Maine and look forward to our next visit.
